Most of you know me from the @korecehocam page on Instagram. We will conduct private lessons together.

So let me give you some information about one-on-one online private lessons.

How Do I Connect to Courses?

We do our lessons via the Discord app. Because it filters out other outside noises during the broadcast and prevents the student from being distracted. During the lesson, I project a presentation onto the screen and explain it by taking notes on the page. Therefore, each student has a personalized study note. I don't give these pdfs directly, but during the lesson, when we are done with the page, I take a screenshot so that you can take it with your own private notes instead of a blank presentation.

How Long is the Lesson?

There are 4 main topics in each unit and we usually finish one main topic in one lesson. This corresponds to a time between 45 minutes and 1 hour. If we have progressed too fast, I move on to the second topic, but in topics where I have given too many rules, we reinforce that topic instead of moving on to a new topic. If the topic is not finished but 1 hour is up, depending on the situation, if we have time and if it is enough, we can sometimes extend it.

How Many Classes Should I Take Per Week?

We determine the days and number of lessons together with you. Although this may vary depending on your desire to learn Korean, the time you can spare, and your financial strength, the average is 1 or 2 lessons per week. We can also adjust this number from time to time. For example, students may increase the number of lessons because they have more time on their days off or during school holidays. Or we can increase the momentum a little before the exam. Therefore, the number of lessons you take each month is determined in the last week of the previous month, and I receive the monthly payments in the first week of the month.

Can I cancel classes that I can't attend?

If you are unable to attend the lesson, we can cancel the lesson or make up the lesson according to the suitability of the program if you inform us at least one day in advance. However, in case of cancellations made on the day of the lesson, the lesson will be considered as completed.

Which Source Do You Work From?

We proceed according to the curriculum of Yonsei University in our classes. Therefore, we do not have a separate course for TOPIK exam preparation, the existing system prepares you for both the exam and daily speaking. This is a bit of my personal opinion, but I have seen that Yonsei is the most effective book among all the books I have reviewed so far. Sometimes there are students who start from other places or with other sources, and when they move on to the 2nd book, you can think that they have passed to the 2nd level, but I may have to start the student from the 4th unit of Yonsei's 1st level. Therefore, you can compare the contents in advance.
